Creativity in Action: Adults with Autism at JoyDew Turn Multimedia Designs into Real Products

Creativity, technology, and opportunity are coming together in an exciting new way at JoyDew. Our Multimedia group is proud to announce that designs created by adults with autism are now available for purchase through our online store: https://joydew-merchandise.printify.me/.

Seeing original artwork transformed into real products is a powerful reminder that creativity can translate into meaningful work and real-world opportunity.

The field of multimedia is expanding rapidly and offers excellent career paths for individuals with strong visual perception, auditory processing, language skills, as well as creativity…strengths often found in autistic individuals. Our Multimedia Program helps members explore these talents through hands-on training in several areas.

Film and Video Production introduces members to composition, photography, and videography. They learn how to edit recorded materials into finished projects using camera footage, sound effects, graphics, dialogue, and special effects.

Animation training teaches the fundamentals of storytelling through motion. Members practice character creation and the process of creating animation, while learning about composition and visual design for mediums such as films, television, video games, and commercials.

Training in Music Making uses variety of applications, providing training in recording, mixing, synchronizing, editing, and reproducing audio. Members develop skills that can be applied to music production, podcasts, theater, and sporting events.

Multimedia Design integrates these creative skills using digital tools to produce engaging content that combine audio, video, animation, and graphics for websites, training materials, education, merchandise and entertainment.

Most importantly, these trainings help transform creativity into real products, real skills, and real possibilities.
