Position Summary
The Community Outreach Coordinator will play a critical role in expanding JoyDew’s reach and ensuring that individuals with autism and theirfamiliesare aware ofthe services and programsavailable to them. Underthe DirectionoftheVicePresidentofOperations,thecoordinatorwillberesponsible forengagingwithcommunity organizations, facilitating partnerships, and creating and maintaining new community relationships. JoyDew offersanexcitingopportunityfor personalandprofessionalgrowth,especiallyforindividualspassionateabout making a positive impact in the lives of adults with autism and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
- Outreach &Engagement
- ExecuteoutreachstrategiestopromoteJoyDew’sprogramsandservicestoindividuals, families,and community organizations.
- Buildrelationshipswithlocalschools,healthcareproviders,communitygroups,andadvocacy organizations to raise awareness and drive participation.
- Attendcommunityevents,workshops,andmeetingstorepresentJoyDewFoundationand expand our network of supporters.
- Coordinateanddeliverpresentations,webinars,andothereducationalmaterialsaboutthefoundation’s work.
Partnership Building
- Establishandmaintainrelationshipswithlocalbusinesses,nonprofitorganizations,and community leaders to create opportunities for collaboration and support.
- CoordinatevolunteereffortsandcommunityinvolvementinitiativestostrengthenJoyDew’spresence in Livingston and surrounding areas.
- Other duties

Qualifications:
- Mustbe18yearsofageor older.
- Mustpassstatemandatedbackgroundchecksanddrug screening.
- MusttakeandpassalltrainingrequiredbyNJDepartmentoftheDevelopmentally Disabled.
- Bachelor’sdegreeinsocialwork,education,humanservices,communications,orrelatedfieldpreferred.
- 2+yearsofexperienceincommunityoutreach,engagement,orenrollmentcoordinationpreferred.

Job Coach / Direct Support Professional / Special Education Teacher for Adults with Autism - Livingston
At JoyDew our coaching and support staff play a multi-faceted role as job coaches, trainers, and educators for our adult members who have autism. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team to provide guidance and support to our members in the day-to-day programing at our dedicated career center for adults with autism.
All coaching, support and teaching staff are provided with extensive training. Experience working with an autistic population is NOT required. Candidates in any field who are interested in working with individuals with special needs are encouraged to apply.
Compensation:$37,000-$47,000 per year, Full-time Monday to Friday.
Location:Livingston, NJ
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting annual salary $37,000-$47,000*, full-time Monday to Friday.
- Medical and dental insurance (Employee contribution for single coverage is currently $75 per month).
- Major federal holidays, according to the company calendar.
- 10 Vacation days and 5 sick/personal days per year.
- 403 B retirement plan.
- Paid training.
*Additional compensation for American Sign Language Interpreter Services for staff who have successfully passed the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DDHH) Screening -OR- are Certified by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
Responsibilities:

- Directly support our members with all activities throughout the day.
- Assist in developing, planning, teaching, and reporting on educational enrichment and job training classes with members.
- Maintain involvement, community, and safety.
- Work directly with members to facilitate participation and communication.
- Exemplify all rules, regulations, and policies set forth by the program.
- Assisting with all aspects of the program and other activities
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass state mandated background checks and drug screening.
- Must take and pass all training required by NJ Department of the Developmentally Disabled.
- Must have an interest in and be comfortable working with the special needs community.
- Must have strong communication skills and experience working on a team.
- Must be computer proficient in a Microsoft environment.
- Bachelor's Degree a plus
- Experience working with young adults with AUTISM a plus.
