Nikunj’s JoyDew Experience

My advice to new members joining JoyDew would be mostly positive words about the programme. I would tell them that I've been part of this programme since November 2024 and my experience with JoyDew has been positive until now. I have learned various skills and enhanced my skillset in the area of QA Website Accessibility, AI and Cybersecurity. I also have achieved certification in the area of QA Website Accessibility from the Department of Homeland Security.

In JoyDew, we have monthly field trips and my favourite trip until now has been rock climbing, going to Hoboken, and visiting the Science Museum at Bergen Community College. One thing JoyDew can work on is to get members paid employment in an area they are good at. Otherwise, they may have to look for work outside JoyDew which can be pretty stressful as environments outside are demanding. Apart from this, it is a good place to develop yourself and enhance your social skills and learn top 21st century skills.

My name is Nikunj Kharbanda. I have been a member of joyDew since November 2024. At JoyDew I like QA Testing, AI and Cybersecurity. My goal at JoyDew is I would like to gain meaningful employment in QA Testing, AI, Cybersecurity and Data analytics and become a best professional career wise.

About JoyDew

JoyDew transforms the brutal reality of people with autism from being treated as a commodity, living in isolation and without hope, into flourishing human beings with lifelong friends, who can express themselves and apply their unique talents and skills to succeed in the workplace. Our day program identifies their unique strengths and interests, develops them with job training and academic enrichment, provides communication and other supports, and creates high-level employment for people with autism, without exception, where they can learn and grow in a community of their own, and unleash their hopes and dreams.
