For the New Guy

Chris Drum

I could be the guy to tell a new member how JoyDew works. We have a place here that is safe and filled with kindness. The thing is we do not judge each other here. I have big faith and I like to be helpful and trusting to others. We have training in different jobs because the staff believe in us. We feel smart here because we are treated normally. I think JoyDew is the place to have big dreams for life.

We are excited to announce that we have available spots open for new members! Come here for lifelong friendships. With my Autism, I have sensitive hearing but I love to sing with my family and friends on occasion. I have been at JoyDew since 2018. I look forward to being at JoyDew because I feel accepted and I learn how to type here and now I speak with my family and friends outside of JoyDew. I like the way that I need more time to be in class.

About JoyDew

JoyDew transforms the brutal reality of people with autism from being treated as a commodity, living in isolation and without hope, into flourishing human beings with lifelong friends, who can express themselves and apply their unique talents and skills to succeed in the workplace. Our day program identifies their unique strengths and interests, develops them with job training and academic enrichment, provides communication and other supports, and creates high-level employment for people with autism, without exception, where they can learn and grow in a community of their own, and unleash their hopes and dreams.
