After leaving the school system, most young adults on the spectrum and their families have a brutal struggle. Without the daily routine, proactive service delivery, and built in social life, they often struggle to get the information and services they need. In many cases, they “job-hop” in low-wage positions, unable to succeed, and end up:
- Isolated at home, unengaged and depressed
- Unemployed and undervalued
- Parent becomes the caregiver

JoyDew was founded by the parents of 2 young adults on the spectrum, have lived through this frustrating, exhausting and terrifying situation, and they decided to create a whole life solution for people with autism and their families, where based on their unique strengths they learn and grow in a community of their own and achieve their dreams through a company that endures for at least 100 years (the longest life expectancy of their boys).
