It takes many to understand one

My name is William, you can call me Will. As a non-speaking person, a picture of growth really gives me hope. I am mostly upbeat. It gives me kinship to understand making art on social media. I am an advocate for autism. I have spoken at many cities and conferences. We are looking to bring many new members to JoyDew! Join us today.

William 6.1.2023 To take on another perspective is to see things from a different life. There is a lot of knowledge to bring back from other people. I think sometimes about being a kid questioning the adults that did not understand my feelings. They did not know how to talk to me and I couldn’t talk to them. I know that my mom thinks I’m a smart man. She goes out of her way to give me a chance to speak at big events. She believed in me when no one else did. My family knows I am a loving person that has a good heart. My friends would say I’m funny. They like to value their time with me. You never know what happens inside a person’s mind.

About JoyDew

JoyDew transforms the brutal reality of people with autism from being treated as a commodity, living in isolation and without hope, into flourishing human beings with lifelong friends, who can express themselves and apply their unique talents and skills to succeed in the workplace. Our day program identifies their unique strengths and interests, develops them with job training and academic enrichment, provides communication and other supports, and creates high-level employment for people with autism, without exception, where they can learn and grow in a community of their own, and unleash their hopes and dreams.
